Original bark from fallen Eucalyptus collected during a camping trip at Lake’s Entrance. Hand painting of cell-like structures is inspired by the appearance of eucalyptus as observed under a microscope. Spirals and “snake’s eye” (upper right) reference the hypnotic nature of the Eucalyptus bark which twists and turns in unusual ways.

Composed from bark and acrylic, sealed with satin varnish.
